HISTORY

ELLIS MAYNARD WALWYN & ASSOCIATES, LLC was started by 4 partners with a vision of helping small to midsize companies with accounting and bookkeeping needs. Over the years, as our professional staff have grown so have our practice. All of our professional staff adheres to principles promulgated by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant (AICPA), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and those issued by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB).

FOUNDER BIO

Charmine Ellis co-founded Ellis Maynard Walwyn & Associates, LLC. She has 15 years of experience in accounting, auditing, and bookkeeping services. She is a member of AICPA and NYSSCPA and has served on non-profit accounting, community affairs, small and medium size firms and minority recruiting committees. Charmine holds a BS in Accounting and a BS in Business Administration from State University at Geneseo. In addition, Charmine Ellis is the founder and Executive Director of a community based organization YBMAD ( Young Blacks Making a Difference).

Roy Maynard has extensive experience working with and auditing non profit organizations, government programs, cooperatives and condominiums. He directs all phases of audit planning, risk assessment and implementation of quality control standards. He is a member of AICPA and NYSSCPA. He holds a BA in Accounting from Brooklyn College.

Corine Walwyn has extensive experience in auditing, accounting, management advisory services and tax consulting for non-profits, real estate and commercial entities. Corine is a member of AICPA and NYSSCPA, and is also certified in New York State. Corine holds a BA in accounting from City University of New York, Bernard M. Baruch College.
